Taru Wood Tea Cup — Ridged Tumbler

Taru is the Japanese word for barrel, and the shape gives it away — a ring at the lip, a ring at the base, and the same curve in between, turned from a single piece of wood instead of staved and banded like the real thing.

Holds about 200ml, enough for a proper cup of tea without a refill halfway through. No handle — it's sized to sit in one hand, the way a small teacup or an old-fashioned glass does.

Wipe it out and let it dry standing up. Wood doesn't like sitting in water, so a quick rinse beats a soak, and keeping it out of direct sun keeps the color even.
