The shade is plaited by hand from thin bamboo strips, left open enough that the bulb reads through it and throws a lattice of small shadows across the ceiling and down the walls. Switch it on over a dinner table and the room stops being a room and becomes a place people stay in.

Arrives with the cord and the bulb, so there's nothing to buy afterwards. Dimmable, if your switch allows it — turn it down and the pattern sharpens.
